KARIBU TAX  CHARGES, FEES AND AUDIT SUPPORT

Basis of Professional Charges

Professional fees are based on time necessarily incurred in performing professional work. Our current rate is $249.50 a unit. A unit represents 15 minutes. Where time spent is less than 1 unit, it will be rounded up or down to the nearest unit. Time spent include performing due diligence work as required of us by IRS. Work carried out under due diligence include verifying forms W2, 1099, distance traveled with Google Maps, mileage log books and reference to professional journals and tax law publications. A normal return without schedules A, B, C, or D require 1 unit to prepare while a more complex return with these schedules require 4 or more units to prepare. Additional charges for out of pocket expenses are added separately, based on actual expenses incurred. Out of pocket expenses include photocopying, postage, travel to your business or location and similar costs which can be specifically allocated to your job.

We do not accept responsibility for errors, mistakes or omissions. Client takes full responsibility for accuracy and completeness of information in the tax return. Amending a return, audit support and representation will be charged, based on time necessarily incurred. The fee will be charged when IRS Audits your return and/or you request for our professional advice and assistance. Client may deposit funds to cover audit support and/or additional time necessary to verify unsupported items, such as mileage, donations, business expenses or income.

All these charges, when claimed, are tax deductible, thereby reducing the tax you owe and increasing your refund. By signing you authorize us to recover our fees and expense for current as well as prior years' unpaid fees and expenses from your refunds (both federal and state).
